Thematic painting reflection
1. The strong parts of my painting are tree tops because, I think they resemble masses of leaves really well.
2. I think I could have done better with being able make the colors I wanted to use.
3. I painted a bamboo forest in a storm because, I like rain.
4. Creating the ripples in the pond, the amount of criss crossing bamboo trees, I used mostly cool colors.
5. The pond, I combined various blues and whites creating ripples from rain.
6. I learned from this project that sometimes the best thing to do is to just experiment and go with your guts.
7. I painted this project because the other idea I had was taking to long to draw. I sort of planned it, this was one of my preliminary design.
8. This was a worthwhile project. Mr. Purdy should not have had painting being done in the same week on both canvas and clay.

The painting
The form of this picture is a bamboo forest in a storm. The texture is of wind through grass, leaves, rain splattering, dark clouds and lightning. Movement is rain, pond splattering, lightning, and wind through leaves and grass. I made this painting because I like thunderstorms.
